#Kinderblog2012: Question numero trois!
Okay,#KInderblog2012: Question numero trois! here we go! I’m going 3 for 3.
The challenge: Tell us about your pet peeves. Do it however you want: write a list of 50 things that drive you crazy, or an essay about just one thing, or story combining several things, or write a song, or some limericks, or an epic poem. A photo essay! A slideshow! Video journalism! Stand up comedy! The sky is the limit, just tell us what grinds your teeth as a teacher (or an administrator, or a program director, or in whatever capacity you are joining this challenge.) (Yeah, parentheses again. I think I need an intervention.) Be careful: your blog is public, and you never know who is reading. Be positive and professional, but tell the truth. You can do it.
My biggest Pet Peeve, people who refuse to have a go, take risks, try something new and are afraid to fail. I do it all the time, trust me it aint that bad! Now this is a tad extreme but when I held my first “Why you should use Twitter’ I got mixed reactions. I have to say now there are quite a few on Twitter and see why it is useful. NB: It’s a poor attempt at bitstrips but hey..it’s Saturday!
Anyhow go on have a laugh.
Good points. We ask our students to take risks all the time. We need to be willing to do it too, and we need to model it in our classrooms. Well said. Love the cartoon.
Hahaha! I love it, Jay! When I do these presentations most people look at me like I have three heads. Hopefully soon their vision will clear and see the real benefits to using a twitter for Pro D.
Michelle
I was scared to start but I did and I am learning so much . I have a long way to go. I still cannot get the others in my grade level to try tweeting or skyping but I am not giving up. I got them on pinterest haha
Thanks Patty. Ive got a few staff on Twitter now, one by one they are becoming converts for their own reasons. ๐ Theyve seen value in it.
