Blogging. It can send spine tingling sensations up the back of many o’ teacher, parent and oh of course admin. What is a BLOG? Why do we need it? How do we use it? After learning that a blog is a conduit for sharing, collaborating, learning and reflecting, we realise the necessity of such tool in our learning community. We can get down to thinking about ‘ what makes a ‘good’ blog? Andrew Churches @achurches has an excellent blogging rubric on journal blogs. How can we get our learners to create decent blogs? In Bloom’s Digital Taxonomy, he emphasizes blogs as reflective practice rather than a personal ‘diary’ Its all about learning, sharing and collaboration. Check out his exemplar levels.
