Connecting with the locals

Brought my grade 1 class to a village not far from our international school. We played traditional games, laughed, got a bit dirty and hot and sweaty. Kids being kids. It was such a nice feeling to see kids from such different backgrounds sharing something all kids (and adults I think) have in common. Play. The power of play was awesome. Super stoked just to see the excitement on the kid’s faces. Extending this connection? You bet!
