Beginning of a New School Year

August 3, 2011

Looking forward as always to a new school year. The kids, the new ideas, the new learning and ways of thinking the learners bring. The challenges. Ive taken on more personal PD this year. I have been accepted to undertake PYP Workshop Leader Training in Singapore and I am so excited because I missed the last cohort in July. I am also presenting at the Learning 2.011 Conference in Shanghai and I am very much looking forward to learning from all the other creative and innovative educators out there. I hold a lot of hope and promise for the year and hope I can serve my learning community well. Bring on 2011-12!

Hi Jason thanks so much for commenting on my blog and introducing yourself. I look forward to meeting you too at this fabulous conference. Four or five years ago I attended this conference and I learnt so much from it. Now, I am proud to be able to return and share some of the knowlege/experiences acquired and to learn from the others there.
I see that you are presenting. Tried to find your cohort on the site, but do not think it is there yet. What will you be presenting on? I am really excited about going to Shanghai. My visa came through last week, so I am all set.

    Hi Anne!
I will certainly introduce myself! Well I’m just doing a short workshop with another tech teacher from UNIS, Hanoi. Basic cool tools for schools thing, I did this at the EARCOS Teacher Conference last year and people seemed to like it. I actually end up learning heaps because there are always a few participants that say “Hey what about XYZ’! Should be a fun session. So I’m not actually leading a cohort, just trying to share and have a bit of fun.

    See you soon!

    Jay
